By day 344 of Israeli genocide in Gaza: 41,182 killed, 95,280 injured

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza announces that the number of martyrs is increasing exponentially in light of the aggressive Israeli bombardment of the Strip.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Wednesday, the 344th day of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Strip, that the number of martyrs has risen to 41,182, with 95,280 others wounded.

In the past 48 hours, the Israeli occupation committed four massacres against families in Gaza, killing 64 Palestinians and injuring 155 others.

Meanwhile, other casualties remain under the rubble and on the streets, with the occupation forces preventing the search and rescue missions of the ambulance and civil defense teams, it concluded.

Overnight airstrikes claim tens of lives

An Israeli airstrike early Saturday morning claimed the lives of 11 members of a single family, including three women and four children, according to Gaza's Civil Defense agency. The agency's spokesperson, Mahmoud Bassal, reported that the attack hit the house of the Bustan family in the al-Tuffah neighborhood of eastern Gaza City.

"We have recovered the bodies of 11 martyrs, including four children and three women," Bassal told AFP, specifying that the strike occurred near the Shujaiya school. He further noted that rescuers were continuing their efforts to locate those still missing beneath the rubble.

The deadly assault was part of a broader series of overnight airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, Bassal added. At least 10 other people were killed in separate incidents.

Five were killed when an airstrike hit a group of people near Dar al-Arqam School in northwestern Gaza City, and three more died in the southern Khan Younis governorate's al-Mawasi area, where many displaced Palestinians have taken refuge.

Moreover, a Saturday airstrike struck the Husni al-Masdar Mosque east of the al-Maghazi camp in central Gaza.

Paramedic abducted, killed in December

Meanwhile, Gaza's Ministry of Health announced the confirmed death of paramedic Hamdan Abu Annaba, who was detained by Israeli forces in December while on duty at the Nasser Medical Complex. He was detained on December 2, 2023, and was killed that same day as the information received by the Ministry confirmed.

"We appeal to all international and human rights bodies to reveal the fate of dozens of healthcare workers who were kidnapped from hospitals while carrying out their humanitarian duty," the Ministry stated, urging for international intervention.

Only little aid getting in

“We estimate that over a million Gazans will go without food in September,” Sam Rose, a senior deputy director of the UN’s relief agency for Palestinians (UNRWA) in Gaza, told The Guardian.

Affirming that medicines, chlorine for water purification, and hygiene products are running low in Gaza, he affirmed that "so little aid is getting in that we can’t meet basic needs."

On Tuesday, the World Food Programme (WFP) warned that 2.2 million Palestinians in Gaza are still in "urgent" need of food help after 11 months of Israeli brutal aggression.

According to WFP statistics, 96% of Gaza's population is facing severe food insecurity, with 2.15 million people experiencing crisis levels of hunger or worse, as the Israeli occupation continues to use famine as a weapon of war.

The global institution further warned that almost half a million people in Gaza are in "catastrophic conditions".

It stated that in order to make a breakthrough and avert famine, significant and sustained amounts of humanitarian assistance are required, emphasizing the significance of "law and order" in delivering an effective humanitarian response to rising demands.

In a situation update offered by UNRWA as of September 12, UNRWA confirmed that six of its staff were killed in the school hit in Nuseirat on September 11.

This brings the total number of UNRWA staff killed in Gaza since the war began to at least 220.

Moreover, the agency confirmed that at the end of the first round of the polio vaccination campaign, over 560,000 children were vaccinated across the Gaza Strip.

Arab regimes are colluding with Israeli enemy: Sayyed al-Houthi

The leader of the Ansar Allah movement spoke on the occasion of Mawlid al-Nabi and discussed the recent regional developments.

Yemen's military campaign in support of the Palestinian people is ongoing with the full commitment of the Yemeni Armed Forces to it, despite the fact that the US-led coalition has launched more than 700 strikes on the country, the leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement Sayyed Abdel-Malik al-Houthi said on Saturday.

He stressed that the US-led aggression has "not succeeded in curbing military operations at sea or deterring or stopping them."Sayyed Al Houthi

Sayyed al-Houthi extended his condolences to two girls who were martyred in US airstrikes that also injured 18 others after American forces launched attacks near a children's school in Taiz

He pointed to the fact that the majority of the victims of US and Israeli aggression are women and children, labeling the two governments as "criminal."

The leader underlined the synergy between the US and its Israeli ally, stressing that Israeli crimes in occupied Palestine could "not have persisted at this level" without the US's help.

Sayyed al-Houthi also pointed to a marker of Yemen's steadfast and unwavering support to Palestine, which was the withdrawal of the USS Theodor Roosevelt aircraft carrier from the Middle East via the Indian Ocean rather than the Red Sea.

Arab regimes colluding against Palestinian people

Condemning the roles of some Arab governments and leaders, Sayyed al-Houthi said that such regimes are "colluding and cooperating with the Israeli enemy" to launch a war on the Palestinian people.

"Arabs have not been moved by the obligations of the Arab League or the resolutions of official conferences," adding that "Muslims have not taken a firm collective stance."

Maher al-Jazi underlined sense of responsibility among Arab people

On the other hand, Sayyed al-Houthi noted the operation of Jordanian martyr Maher al-Jazi who conducted a shooting operation on the Israeli-controlled Allenby crossing between the West Bank and Jordan.

He praised the martyr and pointed to the individual initiative taken by him as well as the simple weaponry used to conduct the operation that killed three Israeli police officers.

Yet, despite the simplicity of the operation "it had a significant impact on the Israeli enemy," Sayyed al-Houthi explained. The operation also showed that a "sense of responsibility" exists among the people of the Arab nation toward the Palestinian cause.

Sayyed al-Houthi spoke amid Mawlid al-Nabi, a holiday marking the birthday of Prophet Mohammad, and discussed the latest regional developments in his speech.

Man reportedly lit himself on fire outside Boston’s Israeli consulate to protest Gaza genocide

A man in Boston reportedly lit himself on fire outside the Israeli consulate in Boston on September 11, making him the third person in the U.S. to self-immolate outside an Israeli consulate since the Gaza genocide began nearly one year ago.

By Michael Arria

On Wednesday night a man reportedly lit himself on fire outside the Israeli consulate in Boston. They were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with severe burns, and their current condition is unknown. Boston police told reporters that they are investigating the situation.Self Immilation

witness said the man poured gasoline over himself before lighting himself on fire and surveillance footage shows him walking back and forth covered in flames.

He is the third person to self-immolate outside an Israeli consulate since Israel began its brutal assault on Gaza nearly one year ago.

The group BDS Boston shared a YouTube video uploaded by a man named Matt Nelson who tells viewers that he is about engage in an “extreme act of protest.” The video does not show the actual act.

“We are all culpable in the ongoing genocide in Gaza,” he tells viewers. “We are slaves to capitalism and the military industrial complex. Most of us are too apathetic to care. The protest I’m about to engage in is a call to our government to stop supplying Israel with the money and weapons it uses to imprison and murder innocent Palestinians, to pressure Israel to end the genocide in Gaza, and to support the ICC indictment of Benjamin Netanyahu and other members of the Israeli government.”

“A democracy is supposed to serve the will of the people, not the interests of the wealthy,” he continues. “Take the power back. Free Palestine.”

Mondoweiss could not independently verify the identity of the person who reportedly self immolated.

In February Aaron Bushnell, a 25-year-old active-duty soldier in the United States Air Force, lit himself on fire and died outside the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C.

“I will no longer be complicit in genocide,” said Bushnell, who videotaped his self-immolation. “I am about to engage in an extreme act of protest but compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers, it’s not extreme at all. This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal.”

“Free Palestine!,” he yelled while the flames engulfed his body.

“Many of us like to ask ourselves, ‘What would I do if I was alive during slavery? Or the Jim Crow South? Or apartheid? What would I do if my country was committing genocide? The answer is, you’re doing it. Right now,” Bushnell wrote in a Facebook post the morning of his death.

In December 2023 a demonstrator self-immolated outside the Israeli consulate in Atlanta. Police confirmed that it was a political protest and a Palestinian flag was found nearby, but no further details about the incident have been revealed.

Since last October, tens of thousands of Americans have protested the genocide in Gaza and the Biden administration’s support for the bombings.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, more than 41,118 people, including nearly 16,500 children, have been killed in Gaza. However, the actual numbers are undoubtedly much higher.

- Shot to death during peaceful protest

Before her death, Eygi had traveled to the West Bank to support Palestinian resistance against Israeli occupation, according to the International Solidarity Movement.

On Sept. 3, Eygi went to observe a protest in the town of Beita in Nablus, to stand against the illegal Israeli settlements there.

The movement reported that on Sept. 6 Eygi was intentionally targeted and killed by an Israeli sniper standing on a nearby rooftop.

Eyewitnesses reported that when she was shot by the sniper, Eygi was far from the protest area. She was taken to a Palestinian hospital but despite doctors' best efforts, could not be saved.

Turkish diplomatic missions in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem coordinated the transfer of her body from Tel Aviv to Baku, Azerbaijan before her final journey to Türkiye.

Turkish authorities received Eygi's body on Friday and transported it to the Izmir Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy.

Türkiye on Thursday also launched an investigation into the killing under domestic law.

The autopsy found that a bullet entered through her lower ear area.

Eygi was shot in the head during a peaceful protest and died later in a hospital.

Iran successfully launches Chamran-1 research satellite into orbit

Iranian media say the satellite was placed in a 550-kilometer orbit on Saturday morning using the Qaem-100 solid-fueled satellite carrier.

Iran has successfully launched the domestically-produced Chamran 1 research satellite into orbit, Iranian media reported.Iranian satellite

The satellite was placed in a 550-kilometer orbit on Saturday morning using the Qaem-100, a solid-fueled satellite carrier developed by aerospace experts from the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC).

The Qaem-100, Iran's first three-stage solid-fuel satellite launcher, was previously reported by official media to have successfully placed a satellite into orbit above 500 kilometers (310 miles) for the first time in January. That same month, Iran announced the simultaneous deployment of three satellites into orbit, shortly after the IRGC launched a research satellite.

The primary mission of Chamran 1 is to test hardware and software systems, specifically to demonstrate orbital maneuvering capabilities in terms of altitude and phase.

Additionally, the satellite will assess cold gas propulsion subsystems and the performance of navigation and attitude control systems.

Just hours after the launch, Chamran 1 transmitted its first signals back to Earth. The satellite, which weighs approximately 60 kilograms, was developed by Iranian Electronics Industries affiliated with the Defense Ministry.

Despite facing restrictions due to Western-imposed sanctions, Iran has continued to advance its space program in recent years.

Hassan Salarieh, head of the Iranian Space Agency, previously announced that six to eight domestic and foreign satellite launches are planned by the end of 2024. He added that the Tolou-3 and Zafar-2 satellites will be launched using foreign launchers in December 2024.

Salarieh pointed out that the activation of the Chabahar Space Center would enable access to various orbital inclinations.

The head of the Iranian Space Agency further announced the launch of the indigenous Kosar satellite, developed by the private sector, in November 2024.

Western governments, including the United States, have consistently cautioned Iran against conducting such launches, claiming the technology used could be repurposed for ballistic missiles, potentially capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

Iran, however, has firmly denied pursuing nuclear weapons, asserting that its satellite and rocket launches are solely for civil and defensive purposes.

Iran competes with world's top 5 leaders in air defense capabilities

On Iran's Air Defense Day, a top Iranian commander highlights the country's vastly improved homegrown capabilities.

Iran is among six countries that have achieved long-range surface-to-air missile production capabilities, the Commander of Air Defense Force in northwestern Iran, Brigadier General Abbas Azimi said.Iranian drone

Azimi pointed to the fast-paced proliferation of Iran's homegrown air defense capabilities, which did not exist prior to the Islamic Revolution in 1979. The Brigadier General explained that procuring Iran's air defense equipment and systems depended solely on imports before the Islamic Revolution.

In stark contrast, the country's scientists and specialists now develop and produce radars that can operate in a 300-km radius, Azimi added.

The Iranian commander also noted that the country's air defense force is always on full-time alert regardless of the conditions of war or peace.

Being surrounded by Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iraq, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has made the monitoring of the areas by the northwestern force of utmost importance, due to the presence of extra-regional air bases in these countries,

Meanwhile, Commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard said that the powerful air defense force of the Iranian army is ready to repel and stand against any possible aggression on the country.

On the occasion of Iran Air Defense Day, Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard, commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force (IRIADF), and other air defense commanders attended the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini (RA) on Sunday morning.

The Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Headquarters (PADAJA) was founded in 1992, and its headquarters experienced a reorganization and enhancement on September 1, 2008. This restructuring was initiated by an order from the commander-in-chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, with the aim of protecting Iran's airspace from aerial threats.

This date has since been designated as Air Defense Day.

Today, the powerful Iranian air defense force has all its equipment made by Iranian specialists domestically and is ahead of the most advanced and up-to-date defense in the world, Sabahi-Fard told reporters.

The Iranian defense equipment is built based on the existing threats, he said, adding that the country is “even ahead of these threats and we will use them against the threats.”

Earlier on August 22, Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard said, "It is an undeniable fact when we say that we are the absolute power of air defense in the region and have a say [in it] in the world."

He underlined that the eight-year war that Iraq inflicted on the nation in the 1980s and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution's directive that the nation must increase its power both aided in the advancement of defense capabilities.

The Iranian Army's Air Defense Force is currently in the best possible shape to defend the nation, Sabahi-Fard reaffirmed.

The general advised enemies against making any miscalculations, warning them that the Iranian Army and Air Defense Force would definitely emerge victorious in any possible confrontation.

Iranian MoD told Al Mayadeen: 90% of our military needs homegrown

A spokesperson for the Iranian Defense Ministry tells Al Mayadeen that Tehran has become among the top 10 countries in the world in terms of defense industry technology.

A spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik, told Al Mayadeen that "Iran has not and will never be the initiator of any war." He stressed, however, that his country "will spare no effort in decisively defending its independence and securityIranian drones2."

He also confirmed that Tehran has become among the top 10 countries in the world in terms of defense industry technology. The spokesperson also stressed that Iran was able, in 45 years, to "transform from an importer of weapons to a country that manufactures about 90% of its military needs."

This comes as Iran introduced on Tuesday the Mohajer-10 drone as part of the Defense Industry Day celebration. The domestically-produced drone was showcased in Tehran during an event attended by President Ebrahim Raisi. After its unveiling, the Israeli media expressed fear within the Israeli entity as the drone could cover "all of Israel", having a range of 2,000 kilometers.

The Mohajer-10 drone boasts a maximum flight duration of 24 hours at an altitude of 7,000 meters. It can carry up to 450 liters of fuel and accommodate cargo weighing up to 300 kilograms.

Furnished with electronic warfare and intelligence systems, this unmanned aerial vehicle can achieve a maximum speed of 210 kilometers per hour and is capable of transporting various types of ammunition and bombs.

In addition to introducing the Mohajer-10, the event unveiled the homegrown Arman-1 and Arman-2 smart bombs.

Weighing 35 kilograms, Arman-1 has an operational range of 20 kilometers.

It can be launched and fired by various operational drones that the Iranian armed forces have.

Weighing 40 kilograms and having a maximum operational range of 100 kilometers, Arman-2 utilizes electric propulsion and can be employed with various operational drones of the armed forces.

Both smart bombs are equipped with the GPS/INS guidance system and can be loaded on the newly unveiled Mohajer-10 drone.

The homegrown Sina loitering suicide drone was also unveiled at the exhibition.

Furthermore, President Raisi instructed the inclusion of the strategic "Khorramshahr" and "Haj Qassem" missiles into the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

Iran says made breakthrough in defense capabilities

A high-ranking Iranian military commander reveals that Iran’s defense industry has achieved significant success across various domains, including cyber warfare and the development of airborne and seaborne systems.

A high-ranking Iranian military commander praised Iranian technicians for their development and production of a range of military equipment. He emphasized that these new munitions match the quality of the unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles for which the Islamic Republic is internationally recognized.Iranian drones3

Brigadier General Ali Shadmani, the deputy coordinator of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, made these remarks on the sidelines of the Army 2024 International Military-Technical Forum, held at Patriot Park near Moscow on Tuesday.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commander said, “Our drones are world-famous. Therefore any visitor [who comes to our pavilion] would like to see our drones and our missiles. The situation is favorable for the presentation of our drones, while many of the Iranian military achievements are on par with the aircraft."

Shadmani highlighted that Iran’s defense industry achieved significant success across various domains, including cyber warfare and the development of airborne and seaborne systems. He also noted Iran’s exceptional progress in telecommunications, laser technology, and artificial intelligence. The IRGC commander emphasized that these advancements reflect an ongoing evolution in the country's defense capabilities.

Mohajer-10

Iran's IRNA news agency reported Monday that the country displayed its long-range Mohajer-10 drones at a defense exhibition in Russia.

US authorities have accused Iran of providing drones to Russia for use in Ukraine, notably the Mohajer-10's predecessor, the Mohajer-6, while Iran continuously denied such accusations.

According to IRNA, newer equipment is on show at the Army 2024 International Military-Technical Forum, which takes place from Monday to Wednesday in Patriot Park outside Russia's capital.

The claim comes as "Israel" nervously awaits Iran's vowed reprisal attack on the occupation following its murder of martyr Ismail Haniyeh on July 31 in Tehran.

Iran revealed data about the Mohajer-10 system in August last year, saying it had a longer flying range and could carry a larger payload than its predecessor.
